Coming in hot off of a victory at PGL Wallachia Season 7 Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin has put together a new squad to take on the Dota 2 world.
The Russian player has combined with some familiar and unexpected faces to create a experienced roster with a ton of potential. Let’s take a look.
DM Creates New Team
DM is not slowing down after his success as a stand-in for Team Yandex at PGL Wallachia Season 7, already being in action with his new team. The new squad, currently known as Astini+5, is already competing in the PREMIER SERIES: Play-in. The full roster is:
- 1: Aybek “TA2000” Tokayev
- 2: João Gabriel “4nalog” Giannini Santos
- 3: Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin
- 4: Tamir “daze” Tokpanov
- 5: Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev
- Coach: Filipe “Astini” Ribeiro
As you can see, those are some impressive names. TA2000 enters as one of the least experienced of the lot having only reached the top level in the last few years, but already having represented the likes of Aurora, Virtus.pro, and Team Yandex. He joins up with fellow CIS players DM, daze (Na`Vi Junior, OG), and SoNNeikO (Na`Vi, BetBoom), all of whom bring a ton of experience.
The unexpected element of this is the addition of 4nalog, who has only played in South American teams, although it’s likely his addition was influenced by the coach, Astini, who is also Brazilian, and comes off of an impressive stint as the coach of Parivision.
The team is still young but already grinding in lower tier events, so it will be interesting how the CIS and South American mix can blend together, as well as what they can get done as they look for an organization to represent.
