Rejoice, Dota 2 fans! Another season of DreamLeague is heading our way, with the best of the best competing in the legendary laid-back event.

Below, we’ll break down everything you need to know about DreamLague Season 29, from the team to the schedule, format, and more!

Dota 2 DreamLeague Season 29 Schedule & Format

DreamLeague Season 29 will be taking over the Dota 2 world for 11 days in mid-May, running from 13 to 24 May. As usual, the event is split in to a group stage, running from 13 to 19 May, followed by  a playoff bracket, running from 20 to 24 May.

The group stage will switch around a bit from the usual DreamLeague format. This time the stage will be split into two group of eight teams. The top four of each group advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, while teams in 5th and 6th advance to the lower bracket, and the remaining teams are eliminated.

The playoffs are played in a classic double-elimination format, with 12 teams facing off. The rules are simple, you win, you move up in the bracket, and once you lose a series you either drop to the lower bracket, or are eliminated if you’re already there.
