While we await DreamLeague Season 29, it’s time to tune into some tier 2 Dota action. DreamLeague Division 2 Season 4 has already hit playoffs, with 12 up and coming teams competing for a spot at the highest levels of DreamLeague action.
Let’s take a look at what’s happened so far and who we can expect to see in season 29.
DreamLeague Division 2 Season 4 Playoffs Schedule & Format
Tier 2 Dota is always hectic and competitive, and it’s no different at DreamLeague Division 2 Season 4. The event started out with 16 teams and now just 12 remain in the playoffs, which are lasting a whole week – from 24 April to 01 May.
As mentioned, 12 teams are battling it out in the playoffs. Eight were seeded into the upper bracket and four into the lower bracket, based on group stage results. The playoffs run a fairly standard Dota 2 format, with double-elimination meaning a loss in the lower bracket spells elimination and the last one standing wins.
The prize pool is quite a bit lower than the major events we usually tune into, at just $50,000, with the winners getting $15,000. The real prize at DreamLeague Division 2 Season 4 are the spots to the top league, with the top two teams qualifying to DreamLeague Season 29.
