Yuma, Mikey, MC Leave Nigma Galaxy, GH Takes Break From Dota

The Dota 2 offseason is upon us and many moves are already being made. Nigma Galaxy have announced a complete restructure of their team, with four players departing the active roster.

Nigma Galaxy Down to One After Major Changes

On December 20, fan favorites Nigma Galaxy announced sweeping changes to their Dota 2 roster. Yuma “Yuma” Langlet, Kasra “Mikey” Mesbah, and Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov have departed the team, while Maroun “GH” Merhej is taking an extended break from competitive Dota.

This leaves just captain Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi on the active roster meaning Nigma are in for a massive overhaul heading into 2024.

No specific plans have yet been announced by the team, but considering KuroKy is still on the roster, the legendary support player will no doubt be looking to build a new squad for next year.

Who Could Join The Nigma Rebuild?

Currently fielding just a position 5 player, anything is possible for Nigma. The main question is – What will the org be aiming to achieve?

If they’re looking to compete with the best of the best in 2024, there are still many experienced players on the market who could fit the team. First off, Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan is still teamless and could easily fit pos 1 or pos 2 – he also has experience playing with KuroKy, having been a part of Nigma from May 2022-2023.

Another carry possibility for Nigma is Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi, another player who has played with KuroKy previously and may be looking to get back into the game following his break.

Then there’s also Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat, a skilled pos 4 who will no doubt be looking to make a comeback following his benching on Team Secret. These players are all also roughly from the MENA region, which fits the direction that the team has been heading in.

All that would be left is for them to find a solid pos 3 – a rare commodity in Dota these days.
